We meet the third Friday of every Month except July and December. Everyone is welcome to attend so please come to one of our meetings! The Friday meetings begin at 7:00 PM. Our meetings are held at the Aptos Grange, 2555 Mar Vista Drive Aptos.

2013 AIS Dykes Medal
Winner
‘That’s All Folks’, tall bearded iris introduced in 2005 by Joe Ghio and hybridized by our member Bill Maryott won the 2013 Dykes Medal. This was the last introduced iris by Maryott.
2022 Knowlton Medal
Winner
‘Boy Genius’, 2012, border bearded introduced by our MBIS member Joe Ghio, won the 2022 Knowlton Medal, the highest AIS award for a border bearded iris.

‘Going Bananas, 2010, Pacific Coast hybrid, introduced by our MBIS member Joe Ghio, won the 2022 Sydney B. Mitchell Medal, the highest AIS award for a PCI iris.
